The Herman Green Griffins beat the two-time defending WECSSAA champs from Holy Names 41-22 Monday Night at Alumni Field for the league title. The Knights fell behind 26-0 before Devin Verasuk got Holy Names on the board with a 2-yard touchdown to close the first half. They turned up the physical play and carried the momentum into the second half. Boris Wright was elusive on numerous plays and scored a touchdown to energize the Knights. He ran into a wall at the Holy Names one yard line but he bounced it out to the near side for the touchdown to make the score 26-16.
