Games count...but success is limited

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

The Windsor Wildcats U14 team opened their fast-pitch season with four games in three days. The team split with LaSalle on Thursday and Friday while dropping a doubleheader Saturday over the Chatham Golden Eagles.

Windsor Wildcats head coach Bobby Devine was pleased with the overall effort as his squad saw their first game action since the pandemic began in March. "Overall, first weekend it was kinda what I was expecting. As much as you can prepare for game situation bit of rust" said Devine.

Golden Eagles head coach Tim Bentley was pleased to see Windsor-Essex enter phase three of reopening allowing his team to play someone other than the Springfield Brewers in their league pod. "It's finally good to see all the girls out" said the Chatham coach whose team was ranked 4th in Ontario last season.
