Dakoda Shepley, I Remember When...

According to Holy Names head football coach Rob McIntyre, Dakoda Shepley loved hockey, music and drama and played football for the love of the game. "When he realized there could be a future in the game for him Dakoda committed himself to being the best football player he could be and that included dedicating to the weigh room.

Shepley realized his dream of playing in the NFL this past season suiting up for the San Francisco 49'ers. McIntyre recalls the moment he got a call from the offensive guard from the field at AT&T Stadium in Dallas a few hours before playing the Cowboys. He says Shepley showed him the stadium and couldn't wipe the smile off his face. "It was really cool. I always thought he could play. Very proud and happy for him because I know how hard he worked. Happy he could have that moment and share it with me".

In this edition of I Remember When... Shepley recalls a special game during his final year at Holy Names and winning the Vanier Cup with UBC in this video brought to you by Unifor Local 444.
